“Cellos have souls rather than characteristics,” says Steven Isserlis, who is widely acclaimed for his profound musicianship, technical mastery, distinctive sound, as well as his charismatic stage presence that carries his enthusiasm straight to every listener. Together with Canadian pianist Connie Shih, hand picked by Isserlis himself, the duo will present a beautiful selection of works, both old and new, with a distinctly French theme. In the brilliant acoustics of the Grand Hall, they will share with listeners a rich and deeply rewarding musical experience.
