Peter Tang 鄧國峰

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Peter Tang graduated in Music with first class honours and is currently an MPhil candidate in Music Composition at the University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Chan Hing-yan. He was the recipient of Rayson Huang Scholarship in Music (2018-2020) and Hong Kong Children’s Choir Scholarship (2018-2019) during his undergraduate studies.

Tang’s composition seeks to explore harmonies and timbres with different instrumentation, and create textures with juxtaposition of musical materials.

Besides composing, Tang is also active in Hong Kong A Cappella scene. He was the Music Director of the collegiate group Mosaic from 2017-2021, leading the group to multiple international awards. He is currently the group’s advisor.

香港作曲家鄧國峰以一級榮譽畢業於香港大學音樂系，目前正攻讀作曲哲學碩士，師隨陳慶恩教授。他在修讀學士學位期間獲得黃麗松音樂獎學金（2018-2020）以及香港兒童合唱團音樂獎學金（2018-2019）。

鄧國峰的作品著重於發掘在不同配器下，如何能夠突出當中的和聲以及音色，並同時疊加不同素材，為音樂製造出有趣的織體。

在作曲以外，鄧國峰同時亦活躍於香港無伴奏合唱界，在2017-2021年期間擔任香港大學無伴奏合唱組合Mosaic的音樂總監，帶領組合登上國際舞台贏得不同獎項。他目前是組合的音樂顧問指導。
