Mario To

Mario To is an avid guitarist and chamber musician. He had worked with internationally acclaimed artists such as German tenor Knut Schoch and Hungarian conductor Gergely Madaras. He is a two-time recipient of the HSBC Hong Kong Scholarship. Other scholarships include the Society of APA Scholarship and the HKAPA Schools’ Outstanding Student Award.

As a solo guitarist, he had won the Tarrega Malaysian International Guitar Festival Competition in 2017. He had also been invited by the Hong Kong International Airport, the Asia Society (Hong Kong) and the Royal Commonwealth Society (Hong Kong Branch) to perform on stage. As an ensemble player, he collaborated with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble in its season closing concert “Shadow of Winds” in 2018 and was featured as the spotlight artist in the NOVA Ensemble Guitar Project in 2019. He was also an experienced musician in operas. His involved productions include the 2019 world-premiere chamber opera “Beauty and Sadness”.

杜子駿是一位熱衷於室樂演出的古典結他演奏者。杜氏曾與世界知名樂手合作,例如德國男高音Knut Schoch以及匈牙利指揮家Gergely Madaras等。他亦是兩屆香港滙豐銀行獎學金得主,其他獲得的獎學金包括Society of APA Scholarship及香港演藝學院傑出學生獎等。

杜氏於2017年於馬來西亞泰雷加國際結他比賽嬴得冠軍。及後受香港國際機場、亞洲協會香港中心、皇家英聯邦協會等邀請獨奏演出。他亦有多次參演香港創樂團的製作,例如2018年的《風的影子》。於2019年,他更獲邀與香港NOVA Ensemble演出了一場以古典結他為主軸的室樂音樂會。杜氏亦是一位經驗豐富的樂團樂手,他參與的歌劇製作包括世界首演室樂歌劇《美麗與哀愁》。
