Programme

2026 Rayson Huang Lecture 黃麗松學者講座
Speaker: Philippe Manoury (In English 英語主講)

In his first-ever visit to Hong Kong, world-renowned electroacoustic composer Philippe Manoury reflects on what it means to write opera today. Using his genre-defying adaptation of Karl Kraus’ Die letzten Tage der Menschheit (The Last Days of Mankind), he introduces the Thinkspiel, a form that combines spoken and sung voices, theatre and music, musicians and computers.

This lecture is part of Manoury’s wider Hong Kong visit, which also includes a chamber music concert, offering audiences a rare opportunity to engage with both his ideas and his sound world.
