Alexander Pushkin is considered by many to be the founder of modern Russian literature. With extraordinary imagination and talent, Pushkin penned countless poems, dramas, and novels that have continued to inspire many generations of readers, writers, as well as composers.

Divided into three sections, this lecture-recital will feature art songs, opera excerpts, and other musical works inspired by Pushkin’s poems, theatre works, and other writings. It will take us on a journey through epic political drama, melancholic love stories, and eerie fantasies. Join us on this one-of-a-kind musical tour of Russian literature!
