Programme

BOULEZ 12 Notations
RAVEL Pavane pour une infante défunte
DAI FUJIKURA Quiet Offering (Hong Kong Premiere)

Co-commissioned by Emma Akiyama and Yulianna Avdeeva
RAVEL Valses nobles et sentimentales
CHOPIN 12 Etudes, Op. 25

Gold medalist of the XVI International Chopin Piano Competition, Yulianna Avdeeva has captivated audiences worldwide with commanding, virtuosic performances, described by The Telegraph as “spontaneous and volatile,” and “full of depth and colour”. She is also a juror of the 2025 Chopin Piano Competition. She brings incisive insight and refined musicality to her performances, shaped by a distinguished artistic lineage.

Her programme is framed by a subtle play on the number 12, from Boulez’s 12 Notations to Chopin’s 12 Etudes, with Ravel’s luminous sound world in between. The centrepiece is the Hong Kong Premiere of Dai Fujikura (藤倉大)’s Quiet Offering, part of its international premiere tour.
