SHOSTAKOVICH Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67
Grammy-nominated chamber group, The Orfeo Trio, will present three of the most remarkable works for piano trio in Western music history. This intriguing programme will include Haydn’s famous ‘Gypsy’ trio with a Hungarian style finale, Dvořák’s ‘Dumky‘ with a Slavic taste, and Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No. 2 with a Jewish melody in the last movement. Giving hundreds of concerts in North America, Europe, and Asia, The Orfeo Trio will now take the Hong Kong audience on an intimate voyage to a fascinating musical realm.
