Yuet Ming David Chan 陳聿銘

Yuet-ming David Chan (b.1999) is a Hong Kong composer who is completing his undergraduate studies (Music and Mathematics) at the University of Hong Kong under the tutelage of Prof. Hing-yan Chan. His music explores the nature, complexity and stability of sound via disparate strategies of notation which often attributed to instrumental mechanism. Since 2021, Chan has attended international composition workshops including Darmstädter Ferienkurse and has studied with leading composers Malin Bång, Chaya Czernowin, Brian Ferneyhough, Clara Iannotta, George E. Lewis, and Ken Ueno.
