Jesús Fernández Baena

Born in Estepa (Seville), Spain, Jesús studied recorder and lute at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of The Hague.

In 2010 he founded, together with soprano Raquel Andueza, the ensemble La Galanía, and since then they have been performing worldwide. He has made recordings for Swiss, French, and Dutch radios, as well as for the labels Harmonia Mundi France, Deutsche Grammophon, NB Musika, and Naïve. In 2011 he released his own recording label, Anima e Corpo, with the recording called “Yo soy la locura”. Since then, the label company has released six CDs, all of them garnering acclaimed reviews and awards from the press.
