胡永正 Caleb Woo

Baritone. Serving as a voice teacher in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Education University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University. Caleb serves as an assistant professor in practice in Lingnan University, conductor of the Chamber Singers of the University of Hong Kong. Caleb serves as a regular member in NOĒMA chamber choir.

Caleb recently has his solo debut at BachFest Leipzig and participated in a production of Philip Glass’s Book of Longing. Caleb also participated actively in productions of chamber opera within these few years, such as The Heart of Coral, Datong, The Angel’s Bone, Women like Us, and most recently, Por Por. Caleb also participated in productions by Opera Hong Kong, Hong Kong Metropolitan Opera, Musica Viva, Pop Up production and Silent Production.

Caleb holds graduated from Eastman School of Music, Chung Chi Divinity School, CUHK and Hong Kong Baptist University.

美國聲樂教師協會香港分會副主席。亦於中文大學及浸會大學音樂學院任聲樂導師，同時為教育大學駐校藝術家。現於嶺南大學黄炳禮音樂及演藝部任助理教授以及指揮香港大學室內合唱團。現為NOĒMA室內合唱團常任成員。

最近於萊比錫巴赫音樂節參與清唱劇獨唱以及音樂劇場《渴望之書》之演出。除了指揮及演唱不同聖樂作品外，亦多活躍參演室內歌劇製作，如《蕭紅》、《大同》、《烏龍功夫》、《天使之骨》、《兩個女子》，以及《婆婆》。亦曾參演由香港歌劇院、香港都會歌劇院、非凡美樂、Pop Up Production、香港大歌劇院，及Silent Opera製作之劇目如《茶花女》、《天堂與地獄》、《波希米亞人》、《芝麻經理人》、《小狐狸》、《蝙蝠》等。

畢業於羅徹斯特大學伊士曼音樂學院、香港中文大學及香港浸會大學。
