Hailed as “the excellent cellist… with enveloping richness and lyrical sensitivity” by the New York Times, HKU University Artist Trey Lee has been awarded several major international prizes and has appeared in important venues worldwide. In 2012, Trey was appointed UNICEF Hong Kong Ambassador. His virtuoso playing and dedication to charitable causes are an inspiration to young people in Hong Kong and overseas.

Appearing on HKU’s Grand Hall stage for the first time, Trey will present a wide range of repertiore with esteemed Italian pianist Bruno Canino and violinist Gian Paolo Peloso. The performance will also include collaborations with talented young musicians from the Department of Music’s Advanced Music Performance course. Sharing the stage with Trey is truly a precious experience for the students. Together, they will delight the audience with their phenomenal energy.
