Acclaimed violinist Isabelle Faust has shared a musical partnership with pianist Alexander Melnikov for over 20 years, during which the duo has built a rich catalogue of recordings, including their Gramophone Award-winning album of Beethoven's complete sonatas for violin and piano.

In this captivating three-concert series, they brought to Hong Kong what BBC Music Magazine describes as "the most stimulating and fascinating accounts of the Beethoven violin sonatas in many years", illuminating the composer's rich palette of ideas, colours, and moods across these ten remarkable works. The duo reflected on their long-standing collaboration, explored the subtleties of all sonatas, and offered insight into Beethoven's extraordinary ability to convey a wide spectrum of emotions and characters in the post-concert 'Music in Words' discussion hosted by Beethoven scholar Prof. Daniel Chua.
