The Orfeo Trio
奧菲歐三重奏

The Orfeo Trio was formed in 2012.  After their first tour of Asia in 2014, they were invited to return several times to perform recitals and teach master classes in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Shanghai, and Beijing.  In addition to many recitals in the U.S., they performed the Beethoven “Triple Concerto” with orchestra in Mexico City.

Cellist Leonid Shukaev is a founding member of the St. Petersburg String Quartet, which existed for 30 years.  Violinist Evgeny Zvonnikov played second violin in the St. Petersburg String Quartet for four years. Pianist Julie Bees has collaborated with the world-renowned Vermeer Quartet, the St. Petersburg String Quartet, American Chamber Players, in lieder recitals, and with various instrumental ensembles at summer festivals.

Leonid Shukaev and Julie Bees teach at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.  Mr. Zvonnikov teaches violin at West Texas A & M University in Canyon.
